Exchange transfusion procedure was performed for the first time in the post-Soviet space at the Thalassemia Center

To implement this procedure, Terumo BCT sent two managers to our country. They are Senior Researcher of the Medical Department Anna Yudina (Bordeaux, France) and Manager of the Dubai office of Terumo BCT Sheila Doshi, who recently carried out a similar procedure in Qatar. This is a truly unique event in the post-Soviet space: for this purpose, the company's regional manager in Kazakhstan Anuar Botabayev, specialists from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan came to Baku, who exchanged opinions on how to help their patients with this terrible disease.
